Stairway to Surgery

I have been waiting to have surgery. The surgeon said it would be 10 weeks before the hysterectomy would take place to remove an ovarion cyst. It has now been 27 weeks. Ironically, I am scheduled to have surgery tomorrow!!! Yippee!
My Stairway to Surgery (depicted with the Canadian Medical Assosiation logo) has been a little rocky and bumpy. I chose to quilt my sometimes flaming mood into the background. I hope to have laproscopic surgery and avoid an incision but I thought the use of the indigo fabric with small stitching lines and the stitiched binding was very fitting.

  3. I hope you are under the laparascopic knife as I type this Colleen. I was fortunate enough to see this in person the other day. It is a perfect depiction of the theme and your personal steps toward good health!

  4. Great interpretation of your current 'journey' , thinking of you, onwards and upwards! I have a number of pieces of Indigo which leave me wondering but I am amazed how often stitches and a splash of red work wonders.

  6. It's a great mood piece Colleen. Moody blue, flashes of red rage, fire in the quilting, stitches. I hope the steps of your recovery are short and quick.

  10. Colleen I am glad to hear that all has gone well for you and that you are now on the road to recovery. I like the use of indigo fabric with the colour in the steps. As they are curving upward I trust that you too will continue to 'step' up and up to complete recovery.
