THE NEW CHALLENGE

DRUMROLL

Our new challenge is, as you are all awae and probably awaiting with bated breath is "The Artists Challenge".
The Artist I have chosen is:

PAUL KLEE

On going through his works they are so varied I am sure there will be something we can all choose that will appeal to our different styles and are open to any techniques we choose to use.

I am sure, and hope, we will have fun and already I can't wait to see what we all produce.

  1. Great choice of artist to ease us gently into this new challenge Patricia! The only problem for me will be selecting just one painting to work from!
http://www.wikiart.org/en/paul-klee seems to carry more of Klee's work than most websites.

  2. Brilliant, he's one of my favourites. Now I'll have to think of another artist when it's my turn to choose! Though there's still plenty of choice of course. You are right about it being difficult to choose just one painting.

  3. Yes, a good gentle choice to ease us into this new challenge. An artist whose work so often lends itself to being interpreted in cloth and one who often worked small scale. I was lucky enough to see an exhibition of his work many years ago in London and was 'shocked' at how small some of the well known works are.

    Thanks, Patricia.

  8. Do have a look at this site - love the way one of his styles has been used to illustrate a children's book and so many other examples, including children's work.
